On August 21st, the John and Maria Price College of Engineering awarded many motivated and high-achieving faculty and staff for their zealous years of support and hard work.
Administrative program coordinator, Taylor Wilkes, won the Outstanding Staff Award for her 4 years of service to the Biomedical Engineering community. Taylor started as an administrative assistant at BME in 2022 and has since shown her compassion, empathy, diligence, communication, and efficiency in all her efforts with faculty, students, and staff. All of those in the department know they can go to her for advice and support and that she will complete any task with intricate detail and swift execution.
An anonymous faculty member commented on the excellent service and dedicated work Taylor has offered since her time with BME, “Taylor brings a positive attitude that lifts the people around her. She stays calm and welcoming even when the workload is heavy, and she treats every request as worth her full attention. Her diligence is also rare. Over these years I have not seen her let a detail slip, and colleagues across the department trust her to get things right the first time. That steadiness has mattered most during a recent turbulent period for our department, when faculty and staff relied on her to keep things running.”
Thank you Taylor for the motivation, creativity, collaboration, and determination you have exhibited towards all in BME! Congratulations on the well deserved award!
