Our Students Are Simply Awesome: Brian Zenger Honored

The Outstanding Graduating Student Leader Award was presented to Brian Zenger at the College of Engineering Convocation on May 8, 2015 in the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Brian received a cash award in appreciation for his service to the college and delivered the student address at convocation.

Bioengineering Entrepreneurial Thinking Pays Off

This year's Bench-2-Bedside winner, team Cinluma, includes two bioengineering students and won $15,000. Meanwhile, a new surgical device company consisting of two bioengineering alumni won the OneStart Americas 2015 competition and received $150,000. In addition, a new company called 6S Medical, created by bioengineering students, received a $20,000 investment from the Campus Founders Fund.

Bioengineering Professors Recognized For Excellence.

Bioengineering professor Douglas Christensen was recognized for his teaching, mentoring and textbooks, while Professor Hamid Ghandehari was recognized for his outstanding contributions in the field of drug delivery science and technology.
