Congratulations Dr. David Grainger!

Oral surgeon and University of Utah alumnus, Dr. Ole Jensen and spouse Marty Jensen established the “Ole and Marty Jensen Endowed Chair in Tissue Engineering” at the University of Utah School of Dentistry in 2021.  Dr. Jensen has throughout his career sought to make impacting and innovative contributions to treating patients with dentistry and oral surgery.  He has been motivated by his observations of many challenging issues in craniomaxillofacial repair that cannot be addressed clinically without innovations in surgical repair and regenerative medicine.

Dr. David Grainger, University Distinguished Professor of Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and of Biomedical Engineering, adjunct Professor in the School of Dentistry, and current Jensen Endowed Chair holder, was honored recently at a COVID-postponed celebratory event for the Chair organized by the School of Dentistry.  Support from the Jensen Chair endowment will facilitate cross-training of Utah biomedical engineering graduate students and dental professional students in craniomaxillofacial tissue engineering and oral regenerative medicine.
